Filed Under: The Return of the King>Will Anyone Notice

This is my triumphant return to the world of blogging. Did anyone notice I was gone? It sure is lonely in here.

Enough whining! I don't want to be that person who has an "obsessive complaining disorder".

Normally, NYC doesn't retain snow very much. Its a warm place and the snow normally melts in a day or two. Thank goodness, gracious because a week ago I was walking every morning across the street in my shorts and t-shirt to get my coffee and 2 chocolate muffins (if you think that 2 chocolate muffins is excessive, you're wrong), now its like trekking to the North Pole.

Speaking of the North Pole, Christmas is nigh upon us and my brother Paul and his daughter Heather are not joining us in Toronto. Am I wrong to use guilt in attempt to get them to change their minds?

Please see my response to Paul's suggestions about what the Merles can do in Toronto when we are there for Christmas:

"Dear Mr Grinch

Well, thank you for these very nice suggestions. Without you or Heather there, we plan to go to a nearby park, huddle together in the snow, and moan together to the tune of 'Oh, Little Star of Bethlehem'. Shirley will take pictures of us with the camera you suggested for her Christmas present and we will send them to you. And since we had already bought presents for you and Heather (with the new $1000 limit), we will give them to the first homeless people that come by."

In my opinion, the end justifies the means. If this guilt laden email works, I will be vindicated!

I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
